Tickets, Seating & Access FAQ

Who is eligible for a concession ticket?

As of May 2025, for our internal productions, concessions pricing applies to people who are:

  • Over 60 years of age
  • In receipt of benefits or universal credit
  • Under 18 years of age
  • In full time education

Please note these policies only apply to our internal productions. Any touring shows or external hires may set their own policies on carer and/or concession tickets. Any discounts under these headings will be shown on the ticket purchasing page for the specific event.

Who is eligible for a free carer ticket?

We accept the CEA Carers Card Scheme. For our internal shows and select visiting shows, carers will be able to get free entry when accompanying a CEA card holder who has bought and paid for a ticket.
CEA cards will be checked on entry, and you may redeem only one free carer ticket per cardholder.
Some shows may not be eligible for the CEA Card Scheme.
Details of the CEA Scheme and how to apply can be found at the CEA Card website.

Please note these policies only apply to our internal productions. Any touring shows or external hires may set their own policies on carer and/or concession tickets. Any discounts under these headings will be shown on the ticket purchasing page for the specific event

How do I book accessible seating (for wheelchairs)?

When you book online, you will be able to select either “Auditiorium” or “Disabled Access & Companions”. Selecting “Disabled Access & Companions” will allow you to book one of our four accessible spaces. You will be asked to indicate hwo many wheelchair spaces you require, and how many “Companion” seats you require. Companions are provided with a standard seat next to their wheelchair-bound counterpart. We ask, given the limited room, that only one companion seat is bookked per wheelchair-bound guest.
You will not then need to select a seat number, and you will follow the rest of the ticket booking process after that.

How accessible is your standard seating?

Our standard seating is tiered, with steps up either side to access.
Rows are around 19 seats wide, so the middle seats require moving past ten other seats to exit.
The first two rows (A & B) are at ground level, with no steps needed to access, aside from a very small step from the pavement outside through the front door of the theatre. We do have a ramp if complete step free access is needed – please ask for this on arrival.
Every other row is up one or two more steps. The steps are wide and shallow. There is a handrail on the outside of the steps. This does lean away slightly from the seating but is solid enough to hold on to for support.

Please ask a member of the front of house team if you will need a walking aid stored. Depending on the event, we may be able to keep this in a spot front of house, or we may need to tuck it into a nearby backstage room – though we will only do this when necessary. Note we take no responsibilty for stored walking aids.

if you have any other accessibility needs, please discuss this with our front of house team on arrival, or check in advance using the contact form linked at the top of the page
